White Rock Blasting: Facts

This is the last time that we will be posting anything about the blasting at White Rock. Please understand that it will take a miracle for the blasting to stop or for the state to let homeowners sue White Rock Quarries. If you are affected or NOT please consider the following facts about the current situation.

White Rock Quarries:

Founded in 1986 according to its website: it “is a major Florida provider of high-quality DOT-certified crushed limestone (limerock) aggregates and screenings for road construction, asphalt pavement, and ready-mix concrete products.” According to Owler.com the estimated annual revenue of White Rock is around $56.4 Million a year. The company employs around 48 workers.

Who owns White Rock Quarries?

Vecellio Group, Inc. is one of the nation's Top 200 Contractors. Operations include Heavy/Highway Construction & Materials; Asphalt Paving & Contracting; and Petroleum Terminals & Energy Services.

Vecellio & Grogan is a leading heavy/highway contractor in the mid-Atlantic states and beyond, providing new construction and widening of major roads, highways, Interstate sections, complex interchanges, and airport runways and taxiways. We also build bridges, retaining walls and drainage structures. (Est. 1938)

The Owners:

The Vecellio family led by Leo Vecellio owns Vecellio Group Inc and Vecellio & Grogan which are the umbrella company for at least another eight other corporations. Leo Vecellio has a net worth of $400 Million. The Vecellios, Leo and Wife Kathryn almost broke a Palm Beach real estate record back in November of 2018 when they purchased a 5 acre Ocean-to-Lake property valued at $95 Million for just under $80. It's obviously no surprise that they are heavy political contributors. During the last three political cycles they donated a combined $515,412 all to (R) political campaigns. Leo Vecellio is also an active member of The Florida Council of 100, a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization of Florida business leaders who advise the state's governor. FACT!

Biden’s $2Trillion Infrastructure Plan

Included in the President’s proposed bill is a budget of $115 BILLION that will go towards highways, roads and bridges exactly the type of business that the Vecellio Group is involved in.

So regardless of what is going on, the “need” for the services & products of this company will continue to grow no matter who is in power. FACT!

If you are reading this and are a Republican who is being affected it is your responsibility to do something about it. The same goes if you are a Democrat or an Independent (NPA) No more finger pointing, no more infighting, the rock blasting doesn’t care about the homeowner’s party affiliation when it cracks the pool's floor or the roof tiles. FACT!
